Council certifies Chad Huckabee for TML Region 15 ballot

Ronda Binger, the city secretary, told the council she needed direction to "check that box" on the certification form and return it to TML so the city's selection could be submitted. Binger noted a submission deadline of Oct. 3.
Council members expressed support for Huckabee serving on the regional TML board. A council member moved to certify Huckabee on the ballot; the motion was seconded and the council voted unanimously to certify him. The council did not record individual roll-call votes in the meeting transcript.
One council member noted they would recuse themselves from the vote because they were on the ballot. After the vote, members thanked Huckabee for offering his time to serve on the regional board.
The city secretary will file the certification with TML by the stated deadline.
