At the April 23 reconvened meeting the Buckingham County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously among members present to appropriate $9,500 to the Buckingham County Youth League for football uniforms and equipment. Vice Chairman L. Cameron Gilliam moved the appropriation; Supervisor Harry W. Bryant, Jr. seconded the motion.
County officials noted the appropriation came from funds previously allotted to the league rather than a new tax levy. The Board approved the agenda and then carried the item by unanimous vote before moving to a public comment period on the Valley Link transmission project.
