At the April 28 budget work session staff reported several discrete budget changes: Streetscape Phase II has been removed from the FY 26/27 draft budget, the civic center will increase its rates, and some level of funding for the Harbor District Alliance will be included in the proposed budget.
Staff emphasized these items as part of trade-offs to balance the draft budget while preserving funding for outside agencies. The Council acknowledged the changes; no formal roll-call votes were recorded in the transcript. The council adjourned and will reconvene for a public budget hearing at 5:30 p.m. on May 11, 2026 in Council Chambers.
