A trustee described a recent safety incident: "I saw the pictures and I still fell through the football bleachers last week," that trustee said, urging trustees and staff to inspect seating before events and to prioritize sections that are not code-compliant. Trustees discussed differences between reparable units and units that require full replacement, and staff said they would follow up with more detailed cost breakdowns for junior high and softball fields.
The item remains in discussion; no formal appropriation for the full repair estimate was approved at the May 11 Committee of the Whole meeting. Staff said they will return with proposals for replacement where required and with photos and supporting documentation from the inspection vendor.
