Supervisor Brad Rasmussen updated the Big Valley Area Council on park and infrastructure matters at the March 11 meeting.
Rasmussen said the state commission recently toured Clear Lake State Park and that a public meeting will be scheduled in July to gather community input. He noted that the Clear Lake hitch fish began spawning on Feb. 27, and he thanked Sharron Zoller for organizing an agricultural meeting with federal and congressional representatives.
Rasmussen also announced that the temporary bridge on Highland Springs Road will be closed for about 30 days starting Monday to allow a replacement. The closure and replacement schedule is expected to temporarily affect local traffic; no vote or funding decision was recorded at the BVAC meeting.
No formal action was taken; the remarks were informational and intended as community updates.
