Council pledges $1,000 to community 'paint-by-number' mural after resident request

Residents in the meeting offered in-kind support: one volunteer (S11) offered to donate several dozen foam brushes to make painting easier for children, and the council discussed practical prep work such as power-washing and priming the stucco surface. Council member (S2) moved to donate $1,000 toward supplies; the motion was seconded, discussed briefly and carried on an affirmative voice vote.
Chair (S1) and other members noted the donation may not cover the full cost but that the council wanted to help the community project. The Clerk (S12) noted recent municipal allocations to other local services but said the council had discretionary funds for this donation.
