Miss Dortone, a staff member, opened the district's strategic plan update: "So this is our second update on Focus 4 and Beyond." She described the online scorecard, which the district updates monthly and uses to track overarching goals, action strategies and linked evidence pointing to progress or remaining work.
The presentation explained that the scorecard lists action strategies, implementation dates and a final column showing status as "in progress," "not started," or "completed." Miss Dortone said the scorecard visuals provide a high-level view of progress and that items without linked strategies remain in development. "The last tab on the scorecard shows the scorecard visuals," she said, describing how the tool helps the district and public see where priorities stand.
The update matters because it translates district goals into measurable steps and published evidence. School leaders framed the tool as the district's strategic road map (implemented April 2025) and said it is intended to be a transparent record for staff, families and the public.
District leaders encouraged questions and public review of the materials posted in the meeting chat and on the district website. Dr. Beacotz, an administrator, later praised the work behind the scorecard and invited stakeholders to a press conference on Monday to share more about the results and the effort from school and central-office staff. The meeting concluded with brief public compliments about the clarity of the presentation and the district's continuing implementation work.
