The City of Pacific City Council’s Sept. 22 meeting included a presentation from King County Library and routine committee updates, followed by consent-agenda approvals.
David Wright, Regional Manager for King County Library, presented a PowerPoint summarizing library usage statistics and programs serving Pacific residents. Committee reports included an update that Valley Regional Fire Authority will bring its 2026 budget to the October meeting and that Public Works completed work on the Milwaukee ditch. Council Member Mann noted two school propositions on the Nov. ballot and upcoming local openings (a hotel in Algona and a transfer station grand opening in June 2026).
On the consent agenda the council approved claims vouchers (#61287–#61353), payroll vouchers, minutes from Sept. 8 (regular meeting and workshop), Resolution 2025-1004 to contract with Invoice Cloud for credit-card processing, and Resolution 2025-1005 to procure a new sewer lift station skid for the Alder Pump Station. The consent agenda passed on a roll-call vote of 6-0 (one member absent).
