Members of the cultural and historical memorial subcommittee told the committee May 13 that they are drafting graphics, signage concepts and other interior design elements for the new school. The subcommittee has been working with the design team to identify floor and wall colors, signage placement and images for hallways and cafeterias.
A subcommittee member said the district has engaged a rebranding company to examine logos, mascot options and related materials that will coordinate with interior graphics in the new building. Committee members emphasized outreach to boosters, athletic department staff and the planetarium group to gather input and ensure that decisions are not made in isolation.
The subcommittee said it will try to circulate draft graphics ahead of the next meeting for committee review and that more substantive updates are expected in the coming month. Committee members requested a preliminary presentation so they can review ideas and ensure community perspectives are reflected before final approvals move to the school committee and then, where required, to the town council.
