"Our donor had expressed interest in funding the implementation of it, so they've agreed to adjust their application schedule," a committee member said, adding the team will complete the application by the end of the week. The member said the consultant is finalizing equipment needs and that a short meeting will follow to confirm details.
Committee members emphasized the need to coordinate welding equipment selection with the building ventilation system; the CTE consultant and design team must confirm how equipment will connect to the facility's ventilation. The committee acknowledged that some work already installed will remain nonfunctional until final coordination and that the stop-work order was intended to prevent contractors from prematurely installing systems that would later need to be removed.
The committee agreed to circulate the project flyer and the equipment list and to continue coordination with the CTE consultant, design team and facilities staff before authorizing further installation work.
