Shane said the matter has taken 16 years to address environmental issues and that a split of sale proceeds (two‑thirds/one‑third) was anticipated with SSA because SSA paid for the property during the initial closing. Separately, the agency approved Resolution 2026‑5‑11, authorizing a partial termination of a buffer restriction tied to the Riverton project because Riverton now owns both affected parcels and the restriction is no longer needed.
Budget transfer and youth sports: The agency also approved Resolution 2026‑5‑13, authorizing the CFO to make transfers in the FY2026 budget so the agency can increase the amount transferred to the borough. Commissioners were told the borough requested an increase—identified in the discussion as about $50,000—to fund youth sports leagues because operating expenses exceeded expectations this year; staff said pilot revenue should cover the program moving forward.
Other items: Staff and the engineer reported ongoing progress at the Riverton site (landscaping at Bass Pro, curb/sidewalk at Quick Check, Panera foundations, utility pole coordination) and the agency extended the Riverfront Bar & Restaurant RFP response deadline to Aug. 3 to encourage additional proposals.
Vote: Each resolution passed on roll call. Commissioners present recorded affirmative votes; staff will proceed with document execution, the budget transfer, and follow-up steps described by counsel and planning staff.
