"The general fund budget is a balanced budget of $210,000,000," the presenter said, and staff noted the plan also includes special revenues, capital projects and two new state grants for literacy and mental health.
District leaders framed the budget around instructional priorities and noted that the district has been recognized for financial efficiency. Staff also highlighted planned investments in safety and a continued focus on personnel: "The number one, across all areas is personnel," the presentation said.
Board members were told the next steps: a second public meeting on June 15 at 5:30 p.m., followed by the scheduled board vote on the budget on June 18.
