LEPC reports five hazardous-materials incidents since January

The Storey County Local Emergency Planning Committee was told the county has recorded five hazardous-materials incident reports since January 2026. The Emergency Management Director described the incidents as routine and said copies of the reports can be requested via email to Storey County Emergency Management.
"We are up to 5 reports, nothing out of the ordinary. If you would like to see a copy of any of the reports, email Storey County Emergency Management," the director said. The committee did not identify any ongoing hazards or request emergency action based on those incidents during this meeting.
The committee closed public comment with no remarks and adjourned at 10:12 a.m.
