Staff explained the alignment reduces the number of missed or partially missed instructional days from 37 to zero and provides gap days that the school uses for orientation, college readiness activities, field trips and other meaningful experiences. Early College leaders noted that many juniors and seniors take heavily dual‑credited courses through TTC and that aligning calendars supports instructional continuity and maximizes access to college class time. The principal noted the program’s high completion rate; staff said about 82% of Early College graduates receive an associate degree or college credit before their high school diploma.
