Boone County approves consent agenda, signs 28E with juvenile detention center, declines casualty insurance for High Trestle Trail Bridge

The board approved a 28E agreement with the Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center (motion by Bryant; second by Longhorn; all ayes). The board also discussed an RFP for comprehensive codification and ordinance streamlining and voted not to add casualty insurance coverage on the High Trestle Trail Bridge (motion by Bryant; second by Longhorn; all ayes).
In a joint drainage district meeting (Boone #24/Webster #18/Greene #17) held at 9:05 a.m., Webster County moved and Greene County seconded approval of the 2026 joint drainage assessment of $3,826.87; the motion carried. The joint meeting adjourned at 9:09 a.m.
