New Albany-Plain Local board reorders agenda, reviews personnel items and enters executive session

Sawyers also reviewed recommended facility use fees for the 2026–27 school year, the graduating-class eligibility list (371 names shown; Sawyers said the number could be approximately 375 pending final certification), and proposed amendments to the extracurricular and athletics handbook that would require a 2.0 GPA for participation beginning in the 2027 school year (the transcript contains inconsistent wording about whether the change becomes effective in January 2027 or on May 29; the board said communications would go out in the coming two weeks).
Before taking further public action, the board voted to enter executive session, citing Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(g)(1) to consider appointment, employment, dismissal or discipline of a public employee. The meeting record states there would be no additional public action that evening.
