The Oakdale City Council on May 12 adopted Ordinance No. 962, amending Chapter 2 (Administration) of the City of Oakdale code of ordinances, and approved Resolution 2026-28 authorizing publication of the ordinance by title and summary.
City Administrator Chris Volkers told the council staff had posted the proposed cleanup edits and the council had two related motions before it that evening. A council member moved to waive reading and adopt Ordinance No. 962; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. The council then moved and approved Resolution 2026-28 to authorize publication of the ordinance by title and summary.
The changes were characterized by staff as cleanup amendments to the city administration chapter; specifics were included in the council RCA posted ahead of the meeting. No council discussion identifying substantive policy changes was reported during the motion and voice votes. The actions were taken as part of the administrator’s report and consolidated on the council agenda.
The ordinance adoption and the resolution were recorded on the meeting minutes; staff indicated the ordinance text and RCA are available on the city’s posted materials for additional review.
