Council approves Fisher Auto Parts rezoning for Statler Boulevard parcel

The planning commission held a public hearing and recommended approval.
Ross Hayes, general counsel for Fisher Auto Parts, told council the rezoning would permit the smaller retail portion of the parcel to be rented for general retail uses and that the change is consistent with surrounding commercial activity. No members of the public opposed the request at the council hearing. The council approved the ordinance on a roll-call vote with all members recorded as aye.
Next steps: the ordinance will be recorded and staff will update zoning records to reflect the B-2 designation for the parcel portion at 855 Statler Boulevard.
