Athens zoning board approves front-yard setback variance for Eastern Hills Church of Christ

Sloan said letters were mailed to the three surrounding property owners within 200 feet and that no responses were returned. Roy Martin spoke to the board about the request; the transcript records that he "spoke about the request." Chairperson Thomas Faulk opened and later closed the hearing.
After the hearing, Member Shannon Traxson moved to approve the variance and Member Bill Priestley seconded. The motion passed unanimously with members Thomas Faulk (Chairperson), Bill Priestley, Shannon Traxson and Angela Wagoner recorded as present. The transcript records the outcome as "It passed unanimously." The owner of the property is listed in the agenda as Eastern Hills Church of Christ.
