Proposal would simplify paid-holiday eligibility to apply to all employees working the month

Negotiators proposed a streamlined approach to paid holidays in Article 22 so that eligibility applies to "all employees while working the month of that holiday." The presenter (S2) read a list of holidays included under the proposal: Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, the day after Christmas, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth and July 4.
Under the proposal, several existing clauses that distinguished eligibility by employee type were struck and sections renumbered. Negotiators said the draft aims to be fairer and simpler; the redline will reflect agreed clarifications and corrected underlining and numbering errors before the next meeting.
