Orangeville planning commission re-elects Kris Bell as chair, approves business licenses and France RV Park change

Kris Bell was confirmed as chair of the Orangeville Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday after commissioners repeated last month's delayed vote because of a public-posting error. The motion to nominate Bell was made by Chad Tolbert and seconded by Travis Richards; the commission voted unanimously to confirm him.
The meeting also filled a vacancy: Mason Moss moved to appoint Don Bennett to the commission, with Chad Tolbert seconding. Commissioners voted yes and Bennett was seated as a new member.
The commission approved two business licenses that had to be re-voted due to the posting error. Commissioners unanimously approved a license for Travis Nielson at First Choice Carpentry after a motion by Chad Tolbert and second by Mason Moss. The commission also approved a food-truck license for Michael Bonner doing business as Walley's Roadside Grill on a motion by Travis Richards with a second from Chad Tolbert.
On a separate land-use item, the commission approved a plan change for France RV Park to allow the owner (identified in the record as McKette) to place small cabins on wheels in spaces within the park. Commissioners concluded the cabins would be classified as RVs and therefore would not be out of compliance. Kris Bell moved the approval; Leland Sasser seconded and the vote was unanimous.
