The Taylor Community School Corp presented Anita Vining with its Teacher of the Month award, with colleagues praising her flexibility, instructional work in project-based learning and willingness to take on extra responsibilities.
"She is the ultimate team player," a board speaker said, listing examples such as covering classes, leading drone projects and supporting robotics-grant work. Anita accepted the honor, saying she was "extremely humbled and grateful to be up here." Several speakers noted how integral she is to daily operations and cited her work with students and colleagues.
The board also recognized Marsha, a staff member retiring after roughly 26 years of service. Speakers described Marsha's speed, efficiency and institutional knowledge and said staff are training a successor. There was no formal board action attached to the recognitions beyond presentation and thanks.
