Magistrate Jerry Moody presented a Navistar repair estimate for an International truck (Unit No. 102, VIN 1HTWDAZR8EH014973) totaling $5,595 for diagnostics, sensor harness and aftertreatment parts. "It is hereby ordered to approve the repairs for the Road Department vehicle in the amount of $5,595.00," the minutes record after a motion and unanimous vote.
Moody also recommended acquiring a used Kubota tractor and mower with a factory warranty; the court voted to advertise for bids for a Kubota M5‑111 and mower. Separately, the court directed staff to obtain bids to start the process of purchasing a used vehicle for the sheriff's department to accommodate recent new hires and vehicle shortages.
On infrastructure support, the court approved a QK4 proposal to perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling for two culvert locations (Wilder Road and Love Lane) to support FEMA grant applications. QK4 submitted a lump‑sum fee of $10,476.30 per location and described tasks including watershed delineation, field inspection, and modeling required by FEMA.
The court also reviewed three public bids for Ray Jewell Ball Field lighting (Knight Electric, Arrow Electric, Delta Services) and said it would return with a recommendation; the Baseball Association plans to match the grant funding for the project, minimizing county cost.
The motions passed with the court recording all members present voting in favor for the listed approvals.
