The Tonganoxie USD 464 school board voted to approve a contract to fund Parents as Teachers services provided by Keystone for the upcoming year, accepting a request for six units of service at a total requested amount of $44,280.
Chair (S2) moved to approve action item 5.2; the motion was seconded by Tonya Phillips (S4) and the board carried the motion. The transcript records "motion carried" but does not supply a roll-call tally for this item.
Miss Phillips described the program and the vendor: "We've worked with Keystone for a number of years to provide services. They're provided by two of our local community members. So we host the PAT room here in the building ... So we provide some amount of funding to Keystone to provide these services for us. So they're not our employees. They're employees of Keystone." The administrator noted the request covers six service units and explained the unit/slot structure: one unit covers eight family slots and additional units add more families, with the requested six units corresponding to the contract breakdown.
The board also approved an additional warrant list earlier in the meeting and later moved to an executive session on personnel; those actions were taken by motion and carried (see actions list).
