After discussion the board voted to adopt software upgrades and strategic planning as the top two priorities (motion by Commissioner Mark Walter, seconded by Commissioner Gwenne Allgaier).
Chairman Yoder said he would pursue requests for proposals to select a strategic-planning facilitator and hoped to report back in February. Commissioners noted limited meeting time and the need to sequence work items through the year.
The action sets direction for staff and allocates board attention, but does not by itself appropriate funds; further budget or contract approvals would be required for any consultant hires or software purchases.
