Hudson Oaks presenter outlines plan to join Willow Park wastewater plant and end Weatherford wholesale agreement

Sterling Naren, introduced as city administrator for Hudson Oaks, updated the board on the semiannual wastewater project status and the city's plan to move off Weatherford as a wholesale customer.
Naren said Hudson Oaks has entered an agreement to be a partner in a 1,000,000‑gallon Willow Park treatment facility and will hold a 25% equity stake (Willow Park holding 75%). He described the project as three phases: the Willow Park treatment plant (handled and constructed by Willow Park), a lift station on Hudson Oaks' west/south side (called the South Fork Lift Station), and a force main to carry wastewater to the new plant.
Naren told the board contractors are on site (GRM for the lift station, FM Utilities for force main pipe installation), plats and easements are complete, TxDOT driveway and three crossing permits are in hand, and work is under way along Bankhead and other rights of way. He said the Willow Park treatment plant is expected to be complete before Hudson Oaks ties in and that the city extended its wholesale agreement with Weatherford through October 2026 to accommodate the transition.
On schedule he said the project is on track and in early stages of construction, and invited questions from the board.
