School board approves Suntribe agreement update; lease and PPA assigned to project company

The Middlesex County School Board approved updates to solar-project documents related to refinancing and assignment of project agreements.
Staff said Suntribe completed work rerouting an underground power line beneath a new parking area and has completed its refinancing; as part of typical project financing, Suntribe requested assignment of the power-purchase agreement (PPA) and lease to the project-company J Hodge's Solar LLC. Staff told the board Suntribe will continue to provide operations, maintenance and services and will remain the district's contact.
Staff also reported that a title search showed the land title is held in the school-board name; attorneys for both sides worked to ensure lease wording correctly references the Middlesex County School Board rather than the schools as landowners.
Documents in the packet were reviewed by attorneys and staff said the changes corrected typos and updated legal descriptions. The board moved, seconded and approved the agreement updates.
No dollar amounts or new financial terms were read into the meeting record; staff said the financing and assignment are customary steps in project refinancing.
