The Middlesex County School Board on [date] approved the final fiscal year 2025 budget after staff updated figures to reflect the recently signed state budget.
Board members heard from staff that the division had approved an earlier draft in March and that the latest action incorporates state adjustments but does not change where money will be spent. A presenter told the board the updated numbers were intended solely to bring the approved budget into alignment with the state appropriation.
“The 24–25 state budget was signed; we will receive most all of the money the general assembly appropriated for us, and once we put those final numbers into the budget that is what we bring back to you for a final approval,” the presenter said.
The board moved, seconded and unanimously approved the final budget.
The board did not identify changes to specific program allocations during the meeting; staff said they would return with any further detail if required by follow-up actions.
