The Green Bay Area Public School District board approved a series of action items on Dec. 16, passing by voice or online vote each motion on the consent and action agendas.
Highlights of approved actions include:
- A $476,900 contract award to Northern Medal and Roofing for roof replacement at Washington Middle School.
- A $1,063,700 award to IEI General Contractors for Head Start renovation work.
- Engineering and design services to Somerville Incorporated for Howe Elementary Community School ($256,500) and for Sullivan Elementary School ($500,000).
- Transfer of Head Start Youth Apprenticeship positions from the district budget to the Head Start budget, and approval of the 2025'26 school calendar.
Board members moved and seconded the motions as listed on the agenda; Kinsey reported that, for each item, "all votes have been entered and the motion is carried with all board members voting in favor." One policy/package item (policy and rule 443) was pulled from a package for further review before adoption.
The board concluded the public portion of business and moved into closed session on potential litigation and personnel matters by a recorded roll call under Wisconsin Statute 19.85.
