The Adams-Friendship Area School District board convened its annual organization meeting May 13 and completed leadership elections and several routine designations. After a motion to adopt the agenda passed, board members nominated and elected Jim Baye as board president and chose Lena as vice president. Mandy was elected clerk and Jeff was approved as treasurer. Justin Allard was named the CESA 5 alternate and Jeff will serve as the CESA 5 representative. The board also nominated Jim Baye as the WBA delegate and selected an alternate.
The board voted to designate the district's official depositories, approving several local banks and the Local Government Investment Pool as places to hold district funds. Trustees then approved the Adams-Friendship Times Reporter as the district’s official newspaper and WC WI FM (106.1) as the official radio station.
These organizational actions were procedural and carried by vote. The board adjourned the organizational portion of the meeting shortly before reconvening for the regular session that evening.
Board members present conducted votes by either show of hands or roll-call as announced by the chair. The meeting record reflects motions, seconds and affirmative votes for each nomination and designation.
