Board approves three-year library plan to meet Wisconsin statute and expand school library services

Brien described program elements for circulation, Chromebook support, maker space activities (VR headsets, 3D pens, Legos) and efforts to increase high-school student engagement. Board members asked about frequency of updates; Brien said the plan is a working document to be updated yearly and returned to the board every three years for review.
A motion to approve the three-year long-range library plan was made and the board voted to adopt it. The plan’s stated purpose is to provide accountability and document challenges and yearly goals for library services across elementary, middle and high schools.
