PTO representative outlines year-end events, teacher-appreciation efforts at Tomorrow River School District

The representative said the PTO and a number of local businesses brought in "Mario the maker magician" for two shows at the Jensen Center that served 4K through sixth-grade students, and that the performer donated his book to the school library to encourage students to try magic at home. "We did two shows at the Jensen Center for 4K through sixth grades students and staff loved his show and his message," the representative said.
The PTO organized a teacher appreciation week with a Taylor Swift theme. Over five days, volunteers ran a hydration station, a coffee station donated by Caribou Coffee, pizza donated by Steve at White Tail Lanes and Tony from Ambrosia, and a snack cart delivered to more than 150 school employees, the representative said. "We were all in our teacher appreciation era for 5 days," the representative said.
The PTO also announced an end-of-year ice-cream treat for students in grades 4K through eighth grade to be held over two days starting the following day. The representative noted two remaining PTO meetings on May 30 and June 12 and said the 2023–2024 PTO school year would wrap up after the June meeting.
The report emphasized volunteer and local-business involvement in covering food, activities and donations to school resources. The representative closed by thanking families and community partners for supporting staff and student events.
Next steps: the PTO will hold the announced May 30 and June 12 meetings, after which the PTO school year ends and the district will move into summer scheduling.
