The Mukwonago School District board approved routine business and scheduled a special meeting to consider purchasing a building for alternative education.
The board approved the consent agenda without comment, accepting the March 18 meeting minutes. Administration presented recommended hires and separations; the board approved contracts and retirements (including the recommended hire of Shelby Stet for a Parkview Middle School art-teacher position and retirements/resignations reported by staff) by voice vote.
Regarding facilities, administration reported zoning and conditional-use approvals are complete for a proposed alternative-education site at 917 Main Street and asked the board to schedule a special meeting to allow electors to exercise the district's authority to purchase property. Board president Dale Porter moved and the board approved holding a special meeting at 6 p.m. on April 22.
