At its March 10 meeting the Senior Residents Advisory Committee reviewed final logistics for an upcoming Senior Fair, reporting that "we have a total of 27 vendors that have registered this year," and agreeing on arrival, setup and registration procedures.
The committee chair opened the business portion and a committee member leading the fair update said vendors will be allowed on site starting at 8 a.m., should be fully set up by 8:45 a.m., and the doors will open to the public at 9 a.m. The event is planned to run until noon. The presenter said vendors will be asked to move their cars after unloading to preserve parking for senior attendees, citing parking problems from the previous year.
On registration, the presenter said the city will provide two iPads for check-in — "I will have both of the iPads from the city" — and that staff will also keep a paper registration template for attendees who prefer not to use the technology. The Committee agreed to collect first and last names, a contact email, and whether the vendor wants to be contacted about next year; a post-event survey will be sent to collect feedback.
Committee members discussed supplies and setup: the city will provide 6-foot vendor tables and the Parks Crew will deliver and help set tables the afternoon before the event (on the 18th, according to meeting discussion). The presenter said she will post a map of vendor placements and bring a limited number of extra tablecloths while requesting vendors bring their own.
Members also raised performer and accessibility details: the presenter said Miss Missouri Senior has been invited to perform either at the opening or closing, and that the presenter is checking with the STL Strutters about floor surface to ensure their flooring will not damage performers' equipment.
The meeting record shows committee members assigning volunteers to registration and bag distribution; one member confirmed they will help with registration, and another said Feeney will assist. The update closed with the presenter thanking other volunteers and organizers.
No formal action beyond routine agenda and minutes approval was recorded for the fair planning; the committee moved on to new business after the update.
