Judge Tommy Ewing administered the oath of office July 15 to David A. Warble, who will serve as superintendent of the Fayette County Board of Education.
The ceremony took place at the start of the regular board meeting. Warble repeated the oath, including a pledge to “faithfully discharge the duties of the office of superintendent of the board of education of the county” and concluded, “so help me God.” Board members congratulated Warble after the oath.
The swearing-in came during the board’s opening remarks as members noted the start of the district’s new year under its new superintendent. No formal vote or personnel action was recorded during that portion of the meeting.
The meeting proceeded to routine business, with board members and staff transitioning to reports on transfers, facilities projects and consent items.
