The Plan Commission opened a public hearing April 16 on a Special Use Permit for a planned development and final development plan for 7 Brew, proposed at 271 S. Bolingbrook Drive (Applicant: Bob Gage, Who Brew, LLC). Planning & Zoning Administrator Jake Schmidt said staff requested a continuance to allow the applicant time to address staff review comments.
Commissioner Michael Shay moved to continue the public hearing to the regular Plan Commission meeting on May 21, 2025; Commissioner Calvin Wright seconded. The motion passed by unanimous voice vote with Commissioner Inez Flores absent. The public hearing was continued and closed at 7:12 p.m.
A representative for Dunkin Donuts, identified in the meeting record as Sandeep, asked whether questions and concerns about the 7 Brew item should be raised at the May 21 meeting; Chairman Ali confirmed they should be addressed at that time. No final action on the special-use permit or development plan occurred on April 16.
The continuance gives the applicant time to respond to staff review items and for the Commission to consider a completed application at the May 21 meeting. Specific staff review comments were not enumerated during the April 16 session.
