University researcher urges EIS on I-75 expansion, says neighborhoods risked

He singled out West End, Camp Washington and Queensgate as neighborhoods that would bear the impacts of a larger I-75 project and asked council to require the Ohio Department of Transportation to conduct a formal environmental impact statement (EIS) for the proposed expansion.
"Put people over a pavement," Hyland said, urging the committee to stop projects that he described as "environmentally violent." The committee received the comment as part of the meeting and then proceeded with presentations on fleet and winter operations.
