City Council honors Equality Ohio's two decades of advocacy; resolution passes unanimously

Duane Stewart (S33), CEO and executive director of Equality Ohio, thanked the council for the recognition and noted the group's continuing work amid state-level challenges.
Several councilmembers praised Equality Ohio's efforts and noted the group's role in helping pass nondiscrimination measures and supporting trans youth mental-health funding. The council voted by roll call and the resolution passed.
The council said it will continue advocacy and partnership with Equality Ohio and referenced recent local funding for trans youth mental-health services.
