A wide range of concerns surfaced during the public comment period before the business agenda.
Several commenters urged police accountability and body-camera transparency. One speaker described an alleged incident involving his son and said he reviewed body-cam footage at District 1; Iron Turner, a veteran, said the city should "hold those officers to be held accountable for those actions" and urged that rules apply equally to officials who make them.
A Zoom commenter, Mike Eulhorn, alleged that the Greater Cincinnati Water Works charges a base monthly fee even when water is turned off at the meter and said he received no response from the utility or city complaint lines. "They're providing absolutely nothing," Eulhorn said of charges for service readiness.
Carol Cunningham described an eviction notice dated 03/06/2026, two recent assaults and unresolved health issues and asked the council for assistance with housing and follow-up from Director White. Jerica Tolliver recounted what she said was inadequate care and inconsistent incident reports after a July 13 event when she experienced a stroke and asked for review of first-responder records.
Council responded to several comments with immediate referrals: the vice mayor and Director White were asked to follow up on an eviction and staff indicated they would review questions about emergency-reporting documentation. Commenters' accounts provided a series of individual claims that the council and administration said they would refer to appropriate departments for follow-up.
