Council member Walsh asks administration to evaluate Paul Clock bell tower preservation

Councilmember Walsh introduced a motion asking the administration to study options for supporting maintenance of the Paul Clock bell tower in Over-the-Rhine and report back to the council committee.
"This motion is about the Paul Clock bell tower," Walsh said. He described the structure as a longtime community gateway that has run out of local financial resources for upkeep and said the motion asks the administration to evaluate whether city support is possible, not to commit funds immediately.
There was no further debate and the committee passed the motion "without any objection," the chair said. The motion directs the administration to investigate feasible options and report findings to the committee for further consideration.
The meeting then adjourned.
