A council member introduced an updated code of conduct for council members that adds a provision aligning council conduct expectations with those applied to city staff. Dr. Doudis told the committee the rule is expected to be passed within 45 days of the new council term.
Dr. Doudis presented three funding and assessment items: a $15,000 grant from the Ohio Association of Community Health Centers to support a tobacco cessation project in the Cincinnati Health Department; a $112,790 grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety Office of Criminal Justice Services for drug‑related investigations (with an in‑kind match of on‑duty investigator staff time); and the first step of a three‑step urban forestry assessment for calendar year 2027, noting an unchanged frontage assessment of $0.31 per front foot to fund tree maintenance and replacement across the city. The chair said the committee would put items 2–5 on for passage.
None of the items as presented in committee involved contested debate on the record. Administration and councilmembers thanked Parks and department staff for their work and the committee moved the items forward for passage.
