IT director outlines new phones, licensing upgrade and traffic-school setup

At the City of Pacific Committee of the Whole on Feb. 18, IT Director Lorden Ingraham reported a set of information-technology updates intended to modernize the city’s communications and support public-safety training. The agenda for the meeting had been approved unanimously at the start of the session.
Ingraham listed four near-term items: replacement of business phones, implementation of a Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform, purchasing Exchange licensing and completion or scheduling of Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) training. He also noted that IT staff will assist with the Police Department’s Traffic School setup.
No ordinance or budget vote was recorded in the minutes for these items; the report was presented as an informational update. Council and staff preceded to other departmental reports after the IT briefing.
The committee adjourned at 6:42 p.m.
