Tim McClatchy, the county's IT director, said OpenGov was selected after reviewing multiple options and that the vendor provided the only proposal that met Public Works needs. McClatchy requested approximately $46,000 for 2026 implementation and partial‑year costs (the detailed quote provided to commissioners listed $45,046.96 for 2026 and higher implementation and annual support costs in subsequent years). "What we're asking for today is the approval for about $46,000 for this year, for implementation and partial year costs," McClatchy said.
Public Works Director Carol Gradowski told commissioners the existing PubWorks product had been sold and would no longer be available after December 2026, and other replacement options had produced implementation problems in other counties. Commissioners questioned line‑item amounts and implementation timing; McClatchy clarified the vendor quote and estimated future year costs.
A motion to approve the OpenGov proposal and move forward with purchase and implementation carried on a unanimous roll call. Staff said future support and full‑year costs will be included in Public Works' budgets.
