The Centerville Planning Commission held its annual leadership votes on May 13, re-electing Christine Mason as chair and selecting Laura Patterson as vice chair.
Commissioners opened nominations for chair under Centerville zoning code 12.20.050(c). Christine Mason was nominated unopposed; commissioners took vocal roll-call-style votes and confirmed her for another year. The commission then nominated Laura Patterson for vice chair; commissioners voted and Patterson was re-elected. Commissioners discussed past informal practices around timing and ballots and agreed to formalize the process next January.
In other business the commission approved the minutes of its April 22, 2026 meeting by voice vote and then adjourned. Staff noted there will be a May 27 meeting with a conditional-use permit and that City Council remains deliberative on the municipal budget.
The commission completed its agenda and adjourned at the close of the meeting.
