The school district asked that an aquatic center analysis be included; staff said that element is incorporated in the proposed scope.
Staff noted the parks capital improvement plan currently lists roughly $7.5 million in athletic‑facility items over a 10‑year horizon that are not yet budgeted. The study aims to provide data to prioritize those investments and propose fee structures that could improve revenue recovery for field use.
The council moved, seconded and approved the Ballard King study and accepted the school district’s $10,000 participation. Staff said the study results will inform the parks master plan and future CIP discussions.
