The board informed the public that comments regarding closed-session items would be received prior to the closed session and that any email or voicemail comments submitted after the posting of the agenda and before noon the day of the meeting would not be read aloud. Those communications would be transcribed, printed and provided to each board member and attached to the meeting minutes, the board said.
Trustee Brown, Trustee Dailyaly, Trustee Iran, Trustee Lopez and Trustee Marks all answered "present" during roll call; Vice President Mahia and President Mesus also indicated they were present, and the board confirmed it had a quorum. After asking if there were any comments before the board went into closed session and hearing none, the board convened into closed session.
