The Harrison Central School District Board of Education on May 6 approved the probationary appointment of Jennifer Ronaldo as principal of Purchase Elementary School, effective July 1, 2026.
The motion to appoint Ronaldo was taken out of order from the personnel agenda, moved and seconded, and carried on the consent/personnel action. After the vote, Ronaldo addressed the board: "I first want to thank the board of education and the district leadership for this opportunity. I am humbled. I am honored. And I am so excited as I step into the role of Purchase principal," she said, adding that connection and relationships are central to her approach.
Board members offered public congratulations and several trustees, staff and mentors were singled out for their roles in her development. The board noted that SED clearance for the appointment had been received. Ronaldo said she looked forward to building relationships with students, families and staff and continuing the work begun by her predecessor.
