The district noted the recommended auditor (Patrick Kitner) has served the district and is available for interim support. (Motion moved and seconded; approved.)
Recovery high school name and construction — Approved The board adopted 'Ascent High School' as the official name for the district’s recovery high school for branding, signage and state registration. The board then authorized the superintendent to extend a construction contract for the new recovery high school not to exceed $1,340,900 with Brock Miller Construction. District staff described the planned facility as roughly 5,600 square feet with four classrooms, conference rooms, a commons, secured entrance, fenced outdoor recreation (basketball court) and garden/greenhouse space. A temporary facility will be used at startup until the new building is complete. (Motions moved and seconded; both approved.)
