RSU 22 board advances multiple policies and approves Wagner engineering club
Summary
The RSU 22 board approved several policies on first and second readings (including student conduct, video surveillance, private vehicle use and records retention), confirmed a nomination for a Hampden Academy teacher and approved a new engineering club at Wagner.
At its meeting, the RSU 22 school board approved a slate of policy readings and routine items and also approved an extracurricular program for Wagner.
Policy committee recommendations that passed on first reading included policy EEAEC (student conduct on transportation vehicles), EEA EFA (video surveillance on school property and on transportation vehicles) and EEBB (use of private vehicles for school business). All three first readings were approved unanimously.
On second reading the board approved policy GCQC (resignation of school unit employees), policy EBC E (school closings and cancellations) and policy EHB (school records retention). Members discussed possible wording changes for titles and noted legal references were double-checked for the records-retention policy.
In personnel business, the board unanimously approved the nomination of Robinson Santar for a 2026–27 health-teacher role at Hampden Academy with a recommended salary of $47,589.30.
The board also unanimously approved establishing an engineering club at Wagner for 2026–27 and authorized pay for the advisor next year.
All policy votes reported here were approvals on first or second reading and no policy adoptions beyond the recorded readings were reported in tonight’s meeting.
