The Board of Education approved several procurement and personnel items May 12 during its regular meeting.
Contracts and awards: The Board approved awarding RFP CSD‑26‑012 for information technology services to Act Your Solutions, Incorporated for July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027 in the amount of $516,045, subject to annual renewal. The Board also authorized UPK (universal prekindergarten) partner agreements for 2026–27 naming community partners included in the motion (as read: Nikki Jewish Community Center and TSL Adventures) to expand UPK seats, and approved commissioning services for Capital Project Phase 2B with Grant Vine Consulting Engineers for $46,840. Board members noted state reimbursement and incentive programs that affect bus and capital purchases.
Personnel and policy: The board approved recommended election inspectors for the May 19 budget vote and adopted second‑reading revisions to the 7000 series of district policies. The consent agenda — approved by the Board — included a set of personnel recommendations and the introduction of new hires, including the district’s new Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics, Matthew Ronca, who was welcomed at the meeting.
Votes and process: Motions were made, seconded and carried by voice vote with an indicated 5–0 count on the procurement items and policy adoptions recorded during the meeting. The Board then moved to convene an executive session to discuss three personnel matters and a contractual matter; the motion to convene executive session carried 5–0, with no action announced at the time of adjournment to executive session.
Details: IT services award — $516,045 for one year (subject to renewal). Commissioning services — $46,840. Bus purchase proposition (discussed in the budget presentation) asked to purchase nine buses, two electric, on the May ballot; state bus aid was referenced as part of the financing plan. The district indicated that full contract terms are available in the procurement records and will be subject to routine review and annual renewal where noted.
The Board’s consent approvals keep routine procurement and personnel actions on schedule and clear the district to proceed on contracts and ballot propositions already noticed to the public.
